This mild laxative mainly contains extract of rhubarb and licorice decoction (chinese medicine) which has been widely used for constipation. The extract increases intestinal motility by stimulating the colon.
Recommended for first-time laxative users, people with relatively mild constipation or the elderly with weak digestion.
Sennoside A, the active ingredient, shows its effect by intestinal bacteria. Therefore, this product shall not be used with other medicines which reduce intestinal bacteria (e.g. antibiotics).
